Week X  This week we get the aft control station

The bits we received

And what we did with them

This week is quite straight forward.  Firstly, I sanded the mating faces of all the parts flat, by rubbing them lightly on a sheet of sandpaper placed flat on a clean work surface.  Then glued them together with plastic cement, same as you use for Airfix & Tamiya kits.  When the glue has dried thoroughly, (I usually leave it overnight) sand the glue joints smooth.

When that's done, glue the stair casing in place, lining it up carefully by eye so it looks straight.

Next I glued the part into the control station using Araldite.

This just leaves the anti aircraft bridge (part 494) which I will glue on after the bulkheads have been fitted to the superstructure.

Hot tip of the week

Don't get plastic glue on your fingers.  You end up with glued finger prints all over the plastic parts which are difficult to remove.
