Week 63  This week we get the first parts of the aft signal station

The bits we received

And what we did with them

I've strayed from the instructions right from the start this week ;o)  The suggested first steps seemed like it was going to be hard work to get the parts to fit square.  My sequence is as follows.  Firstly, fit the bulkhead shown.  Make sure this is upright.

Next, put the frame in position.  I haven't glued it yet.  I had to widen several of the slots this week as they were a bit tight.

Finally, I fitted the second bulkhead and glued it in position.  This is relatively easy to do as the frame is loose.

These little brackets were quite easy, but very fiddly to fit.

The instructions seemed to make life difficult again.  I fitted the slotted bars to the bulkheads before gluing the bulkheads in place.

The remaining parts were fitted quite easily.  Kilroy and Mutley working hard for a change.

This hand rail was easy to bend.

Finally, here is the completed control station.
